Do you think the Browns will beat them this week?

The Packers were going to officially suck before that happened, but now they are going to be downright awful. I'm talking 49ers' level of crappiness. On the bright side, they have a good shot at a top 5 draft pick this offseason.

PS - How the fark did the Rams manage to lose to the 49ers? That's just very very sad.

And I would think the Packers still have enough to beat the lowly Browns... but at this point it seems very doubtful.

As a Bears fan, I've been waiting for this GB collapse for a long time. I respect what Favre and co have done over the past several years, but I'm glad to see it coming to an end. Too bad the Bears still suck as usual.. Damned 7 point offense...

When is Mike Shanahan going to pull the plug on Jake Plummer? The 30-year veteran looked like a third-stringer against the Dolphins to boot.

To answer your question Giant, the Rams lost because Mike Martz is still head coach.

I think it's about time for the Broncos to pull the plug on Shanahan as well.. That franchise is going nowhere fast.

Speaking of third stringers that start, anyone see Kyle Boller last night before he got hurt? He's terrible. He throws those death passes where he leads his wideout too far over the middle making him lean in to a big hit by a safety. I feel bad for Ravens fans who have to watch this guy.

Green Bay TD passes for Packers by Favre from 1992-2004:

376

Chicago Bear leaders during that same time:

Eric Kramer 63, Jim Miller 34, Jim Harbuagh 20, Shane Mathews 19, Cade McNown 16, Dave Krieg 14, Steve Walsh 10, Kordell Stewart 7, Chris Chandler 7, Chad Hutchiinson 4... it goes on.

No reason... I just love basking in the 13 year glow. Packers will finish 4-12. Which is just where this Packer fan predicted. Been a nice run.

There is no way the Packers are going to be as bad as the post-Week 1 predictions. Sure they might miss the playoffs, and they're not a particularly good football team, but they're not nearly this awful. It never fails though - people make ridiculous predictions after week 1. Save those obituaries for a few weeks down the road.

Just thought I would say that the 49ers beat te Rams, they just outplayed them. It was because the Rams let them win.

The Pack looked bad to start last season too. I didn't see the game yesterday, so I don't know just how bad they looked, but I would not be surprised if they finish with 7 or 8 wins. But like Doug said, it's been an enjoyable run. I can put up with a few years of rebuilding.

They play in the NFC, they are going to win more than four games.

Does anyone besides me think that 5-11 might be good enough to win the NFC North this year?

Considering that it's not even the worst division in the NFC, no.

All I care about is that Dallas beat a tough San Diego team on the road this week. It was a hell of a game.

So, uh, ABDREW, what was that about Bledsoe being.. over the hill? :D

On to game two!!

The Chargers lost because they fucked up the Gates contract deal and Brees desperately needed him in those four redzone trips.

As for the Seahawks.....meh.

let's just wait and see. I truely believe that the NFC North is anyone's to lose. I really don't see any of those teams beating up on anyone other than the people in their own division. Chicago, Minnesota, Green Bay, and Detroit all have HUGE holes everywhere.

Yeah, and San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis and Arizona are rock-solid.

NFC West is to NFC North as Denny's is to Shari's.

They lost to the Dilfer led Browns at home. The Packers' defense is just pitiful.

America's Team? Yeah, right. People have forgotten these are still the same ol' Ain'ts, the model of inconsistency.

Wrong. They are a model of consistant mediocrty. They manage to finish with 7 to 9 wins every season.
