Personally, I think this year has got to belong to the Louisville Colonels. Unless the Worcester Ruby Legs and their dastardly manager, Frank "Old Copper Pot" Kelly has some tricks up his sleeve.

C'est Utopia, ME?
Realistically:
AL East: Boston
AL Central: Minnesota
AL West: LAA
Wild Card: New York
NL East: Atlanta
NL Central: St. Louis
NL West: Arizona (yeah, this one's a bit far-fetched, but Shawn Green plays there now. :D)
Wild Card: NEW YORK METS (probably the most far-fetched of all)
Boston 3, LAA 2
Minnesota 3, New York 0
Boston 4, Minnesota 2
Atlanta 3, Arizona 0
New York 3, St. Louis 2
New York 4, Atlanta 3
Boston repeats against that other team in New York by winning in 5. The Mets will at least get a nibble.

That LAA shit still confuses me. They were showing a springtraining score for them the other day and it said Guerrero did something and I spent a while trying to figure out who the hell it was and why there was an extra A before realizing that it was the Angels and not the Dodgers. Yea, that had very little to do with the topic. Screw you.
Anyway, here is Cubsfan's utopian baseball season.
AL West: Texas
AL Central: Detroit
AL East: Toronto
AL Wildcard: Kansas City, I guess
NL West: LA
NL Central: Chicago
NL East: Florida
NL Wild Card: San Francisco
AL:
Texas over Kansas City
Detroit over Toronto
NL
Chicago over San Francisco
LA over Florida
AL Texas over Detroit
NL Chicago over LA
World Series
Chicago over Texas

AL East: New York
AL Central: Cleveland
AL West: LAAofA
Wild Card: Boston
NL East: Atlanta
NL Central: St. Louis
NL West: LA (the REAL LA)
Wild Card: Chicago
Not sure I agree with the Angels, but that division is too tough to call
Utopian however:
AL East: Tampa Bay
AL Central: Detroit
AL West: Texas
Wild Card: Someone form the list: Oakland, KC, Cleveland, Toronto
NL East: Washington
NL Central: Milwaukee
NL West: LA (the REAL LA)
Wild Card: Whoever, let's say the Reds
Dodgers blow everyone away, win all 11 of their post season games

Yea, I agree with all your predictions, Hobos, except maybe the Yanks will get the wild card and the Sox will get the division, and the Cubs may lose the wild card (I'm not sure to who).

wow those are some intresting predictions, from all of you. but whickey boston should do better than nyy with the confidence this year
skierdude44
March 20, 2005 at 05:08AM View BBCode
Confidence? What the hell? Both teams have a number of battle tested veterans. New York won't be shook because they lost the ALCS to Boston. Boston doesn't gain a magical edge because they won the World Series last year. If it was all about "confidence" then Arizona would have had no chance against the Yanks in 2001 because they were a newly formed expansion team and the Yanks were coming off a run of three straight championships. Both teams are confident as hell. What will decide who does better is injuries.
