For owners with multiple teams - screen name linking

February 21, 2004 at 10:42PM View BBCode

We added a feature where you can link more than one screen name together. This way you don't have to type in a username and password in every time you want to view another one of your teams.

If you go to Owner, then Linked Teams you can add other screen names to your list. For testing purposes, go ahead and signup for a few accounts on the beta site and try to link them together.

The other feature is that on the League Info page, the U2U is listed for whichever screen name is the master screen name. So if you are logged in as Jack1 and link Jack2 and Jack3 to Jack1 - it will list your U2U as Jack1.

I link my old beta team to the new one and it worked fine, but when I logged out (in order to signup for a new team) and now I am getting the dreaded Apache Tomcats

Thanks for the info - I will look into this tomorrow - you might be able to get around it by going directly to www.simdynasty.com/beta/login.jsp and logging in from there.

I got the that error when I went to "Signup" and tried to Log off from that screen but when I went to "Logoff", it worked fine.
I'm using betauser but I can't link it to betauser1 that I created. I linked betauser1 to betauser but when I press the Pittsbugh Beta Testers I am sent back to the betauser1 homepage. Am I going beyond my limitaions (not being a beta tester and all) or is there something wrong? I assume the first option is correct (the limitaions one)

Also, the link between betauser and tysonlowery that was there ealier is gone

I have fixed the issue that was causing this error message.

A couple things - to have a linked team show up, that screen name must have a team associated with it.

For testing purposes, I wouldn't recommend linking your team to the betauser team - other people can then log in as you!

There are a few areas that need to be tested with this - specifically it looks like hobos may have found an issue when you link the third team in.

The list of "Teams linked under this team name" should include the league name at the very least, and preferably the city. I tend to use the same team nickname in every league, and once I link them I can't tell what's what.

Which team were you trying to link to?

Remember that the beta league is a different site than the regular leagues - much the same way that ESPN and CBS Sportsline are different sites - the beta league in no way, shape, or form link can see or use information/data/teams/owners on the regular site

I added the league initials after the team name. Full league names are used on the Linked Teams page.

The u2u links are messed up. I am guessing it is due to this change. My u2u, according the beta 'league info' screen, is '32'.
