Useless facts I Find to show I have too much free time

1) The infamous Detroit Tigers have a winning record against someone this year, believe it or not! The Toronto Blue Jays surrendered 2 victories to the hapless Tigers in the lone 3-game series they've played thus far.

2) There's only one team in the Majors who has allowed less than 500 runs for the season. That would be the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are also famous for being the only team who has yet to SCORE 500 runs.

3) The Braves have lost 3 in a row, to the METS! God... THAT's a blue-moon occurrence.

4) Power failure? Or just the twilight of a career? A surprisingly healthy Larry Walker has managed just 13 HRs this year thus far. And he's not even batting .300! What's up with that? Worse yet, what's up with those 7 triples?

5) This one's an easy question to answer, as it has to do with contracts and the like... But I still have to ask. Why, OH why, is Albert Belle still making 12.5 mil a year from the Orioles organization?

6) Another Larry Walker fun fact. He has more career triples than the OH SO GREAT Alex Rodriguez. And don't give me that crap about how much longer he's been playing.

That's my rant. Good night...

Another useless trivia fact - Cecil Fielder's kid Prince used to take BP sometimes when he was 11-years-old watching his pop train with the Tigers.

And apparently young Prince could hit the ball a bit, even at that age.

How much is "a bit"? Second tier. When he was 11 years-old. I kid you not.

He's in the Brewers minor league organization right now and hit a game tying grand slam in his first pro game. Get your minor league Prince Fielder trading cards today, they'll be worth something in a year or two.

Because he threatened to run over a bunch of schoolchildren while beaning a school teacher upside the head if the Orioles didn't pay him. :P

who has the most carrer steals of all the players being paid by the orioles right now? thats right Albert Bell. We got him for his speed, and hope he can come back and pinch run (not pinch and then run over) for us sometime.

Why are the orioles paying money to Belle? Because he is a disgrace to the Balitmore comminuty and had to be payed to go off into the shadows, playing golf :)

Why is Baltimore still paying Albert Belle? Because a contract is a contract. You sign 'em, you pay for 'em.

Which is why the Grizzlies are still paying Big Country.

The good news is, a big chunk of Belle's contract is being paid by the insurance policy the O's took out on him. I don't know about you, but I don't lose sleep when an INSURANCE company gets the shaft.

Maybe because Walker plays in Coors which is a pretty big park if I remember correctly.

the ball also carries bettr so if he hit a ball that would normally one hop and hit the wall or hit the wall in the air it might go out.

By every account I've ever heard, Fielder is an absolute jacka$$ of a human being ... but he can hit HRs.
