No prob Bob... ermmm... Chris... ;)

Just let me know when to start watching for it again. Or can you just that same game and run it through your revised version of Dynasty Vision to see if it you fixed it?

Once I fix it, you should be able to look at the same game again...

Chris, somebody posted a link to a beta game in the Check This Out forum so some users got a sneak preview of the new format. One of them reported difficulty with the play by play, so I wanted to bring it to your attention. Here is a link to the thread: http://www.simdynasty.com/oldforum-viewthread.jsp?tid=19257&pid=89874#pid89874

If you're not logged into the site (and I suspect no one other than Beta is logged into the Beta site), the display doesn't start. Tyson knows about this one.

I fixed this - I think it was worth it just to see if non-beta testers can find any problems.

I just put in a change sent by Chris.

Any luck andrew? If not, try this link instead and let me know what happens:

Thanks.

Chris, while you are in there tinkering with the boxscores and Dynasty Vision, how hard would it be to put the teams' records up at the top of the page? I mean, the optimal would be to take a snapshot of the teams' records before the game is played and place it there, but I know there is a problem with doing that sort of thing with the pitchers on the Schedule page, so even if it kept a running total it would be nice.

Beta League
1974 Regular Season Game 37 (1974-06-10)
Kansas City Kings (6-39) at Cleveland Apaches (28-17)

(This isn't centered like on the actual page, but you get the idea...)

That's Tyson's department. Tyson, if you implement the "more fun with datablocks" that I sent you, you could add the win-loss records to that datablock...

I could add team records in somewhere in there. Not specifically where you mentioned it though - unless you just want whatever the current team record is and not necessarily the teams record as of that game.

Chris - I sent you an email today about the datablock stuff.

I think beside the team names over the box scores would work as well.

Yeah, I'm working on that datablock; I was talking about the second datablock with the league score info.

Oh - I haven't begun on that yet. Let's get the first thing going first - then move to that idea.

Working on it, but it's a lot of data to cram into a small area....

Would adding some line breaks help at all?

Nah. Itty bitty fonts. :)

Actually, I may hide your play-by-play and transplant it line-by-line to a window on the scoreboard, and re-show yours at the end. If I do that, it'll look a lot like a CNNSI ScoreCast. The only problem with that is Netscape's stubborn refusal to support .scrollIntoView.... :(

Were you going to be able to give me the official scorer attribute for each play, or do I need to get that info through text analysis?
