Cleveland votes for:

Frank Merloni
Jason Tolleson
Gene Olander

Personally, I like an inclusive Hall of Fame. I can understand the ambivalence on the recent hitters, but there are some really good pitchers that are getting no support. I should probably even include Mullen (who was an elite closer), but I tend to leave guys off of my ballot when there are similar players that I believe were superior. Mullen has the counting stats of saves, but I think Tolleson and Olander had better careers.

On a side note, is there a reason you chose not to post your votes, max? If you are trying to avoid influencing other owners, I can understand. I think you should show your votes though, if only to add your voice as an owner that believes the HOF should include more than just the superstar players. BTW, you do a great job breaking down the nominees by giving good stat breakdowns like success rates and rankings among the all-time leaders. Thanks for putting this together.

thanks for your comment. I enjoy taking a deeper look at the retiring players (and think that it adds another layer to the game to look at my own players and wonder if they are future HOF material).

as far as my own vote - you are correct; I don't want to influence any of the other managers, but if you cared to you can extrapolate my vote when I post the total tally. If you'd like, I will start posting my vote shortly before the deadline (and yes, my thoughts are similar to your own - a player like Tolleson just isn't getting the recognition he probably deserves... and I think that relievers in general are getting shorted (Mullen for example).
