The leagues very first MVP & 5 time all star, Smith retired in 13th place on all time Home run list: 257, 10th in RBIs: 975, 8th in runs scored: 1016

Al Ortiz

Ortiz came to St Louis in the 1951 expansion draft, and spent the remainder of his career there, retiring after the 1958 season. He was league MVP in 1953, and 2nd in voting in 1952. He was an All Star for 7 straight years, and a starter in 1951, 52, 53 and 55. Ortiz won 3 World Series titles with St Louis, playing in 4 and appeared in the LCS on 7 occasions. Ortiz is one of only 3 players to have twice hit 50 home runs in a season, and had 100 RBI seasons 5 times. He scored over 100 runs in 6 straughts years, over 130 3 times, and more than 150 twice. His 184 runs scored in 1952 is still the league's all-time best. He also had 200 hits in a seasn 3 times. He hit more than .370 twice. Ortiz's career totals in AVG (.337) HR (256), SLG (.603), OBP (.423) and OPS (1.027) all rank first all-time at 2nd base. He is in the top 15 in AVG, HR, R, SLG, OBP and OPS regardless of position.

Cant argue with world series rings. with those stats and rings I cast my vote "yes" for both
