Hey can any of you blokes give me an idea of how NY Jets punter Ben Graham is rated over there? the reason i ask is hes an aussie like me and was playing aussie rules until this year. I would be interested to know how he stacks up against other punters in the league? apparently he is the oldest rookie at 31..... do the Jets still suck?September 14, 2005 at 10:41AM View BBCode

I'll let you in on a little secret about America broady.September 14, 2005 at 09:52PM View BBCode
Not fairly, of course. The more often you can pin a defense deep in their own territory, the better off you are. But it's true enough: Chicks don't dig kickers.September 14, 2005 at 11:26PM View BBCode
im pretty sure he couldnt pull a chick over here either.....September 14, 2005 at 11:43PM View BBCode
You need a little of both. And you need to be able to place it as well. I seriously doubt he ca kick a football 60 meters, I believe that translates of the top of my head to about 65-70 yards I think. Most punts max out about 50 -55 yardsSeptember 15, 2005 at 12:03AM View BBCode

Good point Whiskey, so I just checked it out and the best punter in the league last year, Shane Lechler of Oakland grossed 46.7 yards per punt. That would tell me the ball went about 60 yards. Of course this stat also includes any roll the ball may have had but since most punts are caught I would say 60 yards is a good # to go by for lengthSeptember 15, 2005 at 12:29AM View BBCode

I don't know anything about these "hectometers" that you talk about. I know that there are 40 rods to a furlong. How far did he kick in rods, I ask, so that I may know how far a "meter" is.September 15, 2005 at 01:01AM View BBCode
1 meter = .1988384 rods (survey)September 15, 2005 at 01:06AM View BBCode
Thats my last coversion too or I'll have to send this topic to OT. I'm voilating the policies I am supposed to inforce:o:rolleyes:September 15, 2005 at 01:22AM View BBCode
Bad, bad, bad.September 15, 2005 at 03:02AM View BBCode
And continue to be necessary--that's all I'm saying. And anyway, the median income for a punter is still half a million dollars a year, with some making even more. Where I come from, that buys some fine butt. As a pure matter of buying power, punters should still be able to obtain finer butt than the vast majority of the population.September 15, 2005 at 04:30AM View BBCode
"Butt"? Jesus, just reading that is enough to give a person gay.September 15, 2005 at 04:50AM View BBCode
I use "butt" because other obviously less gay terms might raise the ire of a certian admin.September 15, 2005 at 11:03PM View BBCode
the only reason australians know who the NY Jets are is because Kevin Arnold wore the jacket in the Wonder Years....Pages: 1
