New Error Logic, Part 2

Okay, tonight I added the following stuff, look for it in tomorrow's games.

Catchers can make throwing errors on stolen base attempts.

Stealing third is much easier to do now (looking back, I think everyone was getting thrown out. Success rate should be about 50% now.)

I've exponentially increased/decreased the chances for passed balls by catchers. So a catcher with A+ range should never have a passed ball. A guy with F range (or a guy playing out of position with an adjusted range of F) should have 1-2 passed balls a game.

I've factored in who is covering the base into stolen base attempts. So if a guy is stealing 2nd with a right hander at the plate, the second baseman will cover 2nd. And his range will play a small part in whether you throw the runner out (its mostly catcher arm, a little bit pitcher arm -which is equating to pickoff move for now, and a very small part of the infielder's range who is covering the bag. So it should take into account the pitcher holding the runner on, the catcher's arm, and the player making the tag.

I've changed sacrifice flies to be more position specific. It is more likely the runner will try to run against a guy with a weaker arm in the outfield, and be successful. Also in general, I've made it slightly easier to run off of Right Fielders, then Center Fielders, then Left Fielders. This is generally accepted, I think, because it is easiest for the catcher to apply the tag from the left fielder. (You'll see this one, because SF now say who the outfielder was on the put out.)

I'm still working on the other stuff, but maybe you'll see some of this junk tomorrow in your games.

don't forget that the RF generally would have the strongest arm in the entire OF and therefore might be a little HARDER to run on. Think of guys like Jesse Barfield back in the day, Vlad Guerrero now.

I actually take the arm strength of the player into the equation. So if the player has a good arm (regardless of position), he will be harder to run on.

That's because managers usually put the outfielder with the strongest arm in RF, not because there's any inherent advantage for throwing out runners from that position.
