Not sure if any of this is getting addressed with the new adjustments, but I do think either the contact/power balance should be tweaked or the rankings page should be tweaked.

I really think this needs to be tweaked (either that, or revamp your rankings page). Right now, based on my experience, a players power rating is worth 5-10x his contact rating. We've seen numerous examples of players with low contact ratings and high power rankings having much better batting averages than people with high contact/low power rankings (let alone slugging percentage). It seems to me that's a little off (of course, right now I'm wanting to vent about my player who has A contact v. Righties and A+ v. Lefties and a .198 average after 250 plate appearances). If that is the way we do want the sim to work, you may want to change they way the player ratings roll up in the player rankings page because it can lead to some very misleading results. For instance, a guy with D contact and A+ power and D defense will probably be rated as around a C+ on the ranking page yet he will be a much more productive player than a guy with A+ contact, C power and A defense rated at A-/B+.Not sure if any of this is getting addressed with the new adjustments, but I do think either the contact/power balance should be tweaked or the rankings page should be tweaked.

agreed Power should be worth 1.5 to 2.0 times contact. and for pitchers Control should be worth 1.5 to 2.0 times Velocity.Pages: 1
