The official Whitey Herzog Award Night was held tonight, with prestigous awards handed out to several players that richly deserved them. Clyde Patten, the prestigously talented CF from Baltimore Sand Crabs edged out close rival Carlos Beltran for the MVP award, whilst Brother Oliva also held off a late surge by Harry Holland to win the Cy Young award. John LaRocca accepted the Fireman Award, but tripped on the way. He later admitted that he had drunk too much champagne whilst waiting to recieve his award. Aubrey Cook took out the rookie of the year award, and was cheered to the echo.Pages: 1
