And why? Because good pitching is hard to come by.
And, it would extremely unlikely that an owner would have a surplus of pitching that he would be able to afford such a risk. And considering you joined this league to win a quick championship or two then leave, that is even more of a reason not to trade with you.
Leaving an aging team with nothing worth anything in the minors.

I would never trade a #1 overall pick in a draft for a hitter, no matter how good he is.And why? Because good pitching is hard to come by.
And, it would extremely unlikely that an owner would have a surplus of pitching that he would be able to afford such a risk. And considering you joined this league to win a quick championship or two then leave, that is even more of a reason not to trade with you.
Leaving an aging team with nothing worth anything in the minors.

The type of trades you are making are similar to charley finley years ago when he tried giving away his A's because he was pi$$ed at MLB. Your motives are blatantly disrespectful to the game itself.

A. Dansby Swanson straight up for the pick. You've already said that you think this is BS, but that only proves you are only capable of looking at this from the viewpoint of ripping off someone (as you try to do with every trade you pursue). For the #1 overall pick, Dansby straight up is not a bad price to pay. I do, however, understand why you would not wish to pay it. Well, maybe this also means you are unwilling to acquire that pick and should not be pursuing it.
B. Sebastian Compton (really.. you have such poor self esteem that you have to name virtual players after yourself? yet it explains so much), Urbano Lugo, and your next available 1st round pick (2041 season). Again, I could see why you would not wish to part with any of these... but since you have nothing else of equal value to offer.... this would be the second-most suitable price.
Other than these scenarios... you have no chance at getting that pick. You have nothing else of value to offer. You've already tried 2 trades featuring piles of trash and near worthless picks.

Honestly.... due to having no prospects worth mentioning (Gorman Thomas is trash and barely worth a mid-level 2nd round pick) and only 2 valuable players under the age of 28.... you have two (and only two) scenarios for fairly acquiring what should be the #1 overall pick of 2040.A. Landrith (Swanson) is an OS 27! Any team with a first overall pick would really have very little use for him. A first overall pick (while sometimes not) could be a game changer! Someone you build a team around. A rebuilding team with the first overall pick is most likely 5 - 7 seasons away from contending, so an OS 27 would be a little value compared to a 1st overall.
Anyway, that's my take on it.

As an owner that very well could have a 1st overall pick soon, I see "NOTHING" on the Seattle's team that I would give up that 1st overall pick for even if an offer included a (playoff) 1st rd pick.Landrith (Swanson) is an OS 27! Attempting to demean Compton for the way he communicates is also a violation of terms of service. No problem stating you cannot understand him, but a few go past that to make it ridicule. Compton's has, in my opinion, violated the terms of service with his trading. Whether that is enough to ban him, Admin is the judge.Attempting to demean Compton for the way he communicates is also a violation of terms of service.
