Game 162

I am always amazed at how often this happens. After 161 games, Miami and Cincinnati are tied for the Wild Card Spot in the NL setting up a one game winner take all. Miami clearly has the pitching advantage but we all know that in one game anything can happen.

What a fun scenario for a head to head winner take all game. Good luck to both owners.

The trial league I am in had a 3 way tie for first.
The game seems to make it interesting.
Good luck to all the playoff teams, and everyone else in their offseason improves and drafts.

What a pitcher's duel! Miami's great SP Frank Noyes shut down Cincy for 8 innings on 3 hits while the 32 year old rookie, Japanese import Hiroyuki Watanabe held Miami to just 1 hit through 7. In the bottom of the 8th, Miami scored the only run of the game on a 2 base throwing error and an RBI single - their 2nd and last hit of the game.
Congrats to Miami and San Diego on a great season and make sure one of you keeps the WS Trophy in the NL where it belongs.
