Seattle traded shortstop Rudy Beard to Texas in April to try to shore up our sad bullpen.
Beard has responded with a vengeance by hitting six of his 15 home runs for the season against Seattle. That's 40% of his season's home runs. With seven teams in the league you would expect this to be more evenly distributed especially considering the following: Seattle's pitching staff is the strongest in the league, and (leading into point one) Seattle's ballpark has deep fences.
Clearly SD has many facets that aren't publicized.
