Series tied one game each.
Starting pitcher Greg Moran gave up a one out single to Nick Brown and a two out single to Jim Collins sending Brown to third base. Brown scored on a error by Pittsburgh third baseman Bill Dedeaux.
New York struck for two runs after there were two outs. Eddie McFadden hit the first of two homers in the game off Moran. Moran walked Jim Collins and Mickey Avril doubled. Collins scored.
Avril stole third and scored when catcher George Mutis' throw went into left field.
In the fourth inning Moran walked Nick Brown with one out and then made a mistake to McFadden that became his second of the game and fifth of the season.
Pittsburgh had solo homeruns in the 5th (Bill Dedeaux and 7th (Ned Russell) inning off Walt Long (7IP 6 hits 2 runs 2 walks 7 strikeouts. winning pitcher 4-3.)
Houston 4 Milwaukee 3 ...Series tied one game each....
Miami 5 Cincinnati 2..... Miami leads 2-0 and Cincinnati has lost 11 straight...
