0/20 Converts - Promote?

So this guy has gone 0/20 this year in minor league improves. I don't believe the league has a varied development system.

More to majors or just deal with the yuck?

If it's not variable development there is no reason to move him to the majors as he will definitely not improve there as an OS18 pitcher

after 2 more improves he cashed in a Velocity. The A/B- guys are slow to go up give him 4 yrs he should make A/B+ or A+/B+ even.

From the game guide:

"The better a player is in a skill, the less chance he has of converting an improvement chance."

This guy is so good his improvements will suffer. That being said, he'll still convert better in the minors than he will in the majors due to his age. Only reason I could see bringing him up would be if you needed him for a playoff run - but that would hurt his development overall. Also, you're 18-72 so probably keep him down and ride out the slow improves.

Even with var dev, you're better off leaving him down at 18.

And the Mike Piazza is a WPM league, so with your teams current record he would also face a rather large penalty, further diminishing any chances of him converting in the bigs (I agree with the above that he is way too young to consider the bigs).

I would not promote him (or any quality prospects) until you have a chance to get close to the 75 wins, the WPM can really hurt...

Winning % Modifier, it means that major league improvements are affected by the teams winning % so players on losing teams convert at a lower % than those on winning teams, it's an anti-tank mechanism.

From the wiki:

Winning Percentage Modifier

Some leagues utilize this option, which modifies how many ICs a player earns based on the winning percentage of the team. Note that most leagues do not use this and that Dynasty and Trial leagues do not use this option. For leagues that do use this option, each player's chance of converting Major League Improvement Chances will be adjusted according to the number of games the team wins. Your players' chances of converting an IC will be influenced by your team's winning percentage. The breakeven point is a .460 Winning PCT, which is about 75 wins over a season. Teams that win more than that will have a greater chance of converting ICs, teams that win less than that will have a decreased chance of converting ICs. The upper ceiling is at about 91 wins, after that you don't get any more benefit from winning games. There is no lower floor. A team that wins 91 games will convert about 15% more ICs. A team that only wins 65 games will convert about 10% less ICs. This is meant to provide multiple paths to rebuild and provide an incentive for non-playoff teams to win games.

that's a pretty cool rule.
