Trust me, if there is someone you want and you wait it out, more likely you are not going to get him, because someone else with higher waiver pick will get him. You will always see players on waiver wire in the end with 2 to 3 people wanting that player.
I have learned the hard way, if you need someone and you can get him for low draft pick, get after it. If you can get him for draft pick down the road, 2 or 3 years down the road then think about it. It will give you the help you need now, and you can work on deals in the future to get that pick back.
And please don't give up the farm for middle aged superstars. Don't be like the Vikings in the great train robbery with the Herschel Walker trade.

In a brand new league and after every draft some people might see teams putting players on the trade block who they are going to probably waive before the season begins.
