this is not my first rodeo. I know my team has a fair number of enticing prospects. but that does not mean that I have any intention of trading a whack of them for declining veterans. there's no reason to do that when there is an opportunity. since there were three teams in my division who finished with 97 or more wins last year, however, i'd say that there is limited opportunity for this team to make the postseason even with several declining veterans.so while i'm always happy to make trades and receive offers, with all due respect, stop sending me crap.

we're 3-9 in our last 12 and by my count in order to legitimately compete for a playoff spot we would need to add 2SP and 2 RP, plus quality bats at 1B, 3B and all 3 OF spots. that's not happening.

for the record, the last offer I received was, in terms of value, a reasonable offer. there's just no reason for me to do anything like that with this team.
