One of the most incredible hitters in SD history?

Dewey Diesel is one of the greatest hitters I've ever seen in SD. Statistically, it rivals the numbers put up by the phenomenal Chuck Cox, during the prime of its career. That's impressive!

Mo Cabrera doesn't match Dewey's tremendous career OPS but he's the best I have seen in any league maybe since I joined here.

By the way is Chuck Cox 790 hr's a SD record? I have never seen HR totals over 700 that I recall.

Mo was incredible during those prime seasons. Dewey's career BA/OPS will come down a bit when it declines, so, at this stage of the careers, they're very similar (though Dewey has a bit more power).

I think it is, outside of edit leagues.

At one point, people were trying to track the greatest-ever players in SD. This was the post I found...but I'm not sure if there were others.

Tyson, remember him, did a post a few years back listing the All Time leaders in the sim but I don't have the time to try and find it.

Dobler was the best hitter I ever had, couldn't believe ABE wouldn't let him come back and get 4,000 hits

The stats don't tell the whole story on Estel Williams, because you have to know that in the early days here the Mantle League was loaded with A+ pitchers. And he still put up numbers like this:

No one was close to him. In our league anyway.

Hopefully this link works to show all the amazing ERAs in the 1950s:

I doubt that this guy is one of the best, or even close, but he is the best hitter I've been in a league with in SimD, at least in terms of overall numbers. http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?player=nobody&mode=stats&id=11697727

Additionally, while this guy's career numbers aren't that impressive, (in comparison to others), he had one of the best 5-6 year stretches I've seen from any player. http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=11588464&statsorimps=stats
