The Pirates open the first inning by scoring two runs off Russ Gunter.
Sid Drumright doubled to left field. Al Bilko beat out an infield single. Jim Malloy singled to left driving in Drumright. Bilko scored on a ground out.
Drumright was involved in Pittsburgh's next scoring rally as well. he doubled to right field this time. Richard Johnson followed him with another doubled to the same location driving in Drumright.
Florida cashed in two ruins in the fourth inning narrowing the score to 3-2.
Ike Lane singled in two runs.
Jim Malloy past 3b harry Myers driving in Johnson who reached on his second hit of the game. (4-1)
Dave Drake double driving in Al Martino. in the ninth to make the final score 5-1.

The Pirates won their seventh straight and now have a two game lead over Chicago. Chicago has won two straight and it looks like there will be a pretty good race in the NL this season involving several teams.The Pirates open the first inning by scoring two runs off Russ Gunter.
