Congratulations to the Shamrocks

July 10, 2016 at 06:33PM View BBCode

The Cityboys take their hats off to the Shamrocks. So much talent so skillfully assembled. Just too much to overcome. I was glad that the matches were competitive. 4 Titles in 5 years for the Shamrocks...count'em..5 Straight series appearances; A TRUE DYNASTY.
Also, thank you to Milwaukee for a thrilling series. I was hoping and wishing that the Cityboy pitching staff had enough moxie to contain the Milwaukee fire-power, and when the dust cleared after game 7 so it was...
When I made the trade for Masonori Ono before the season started I could not have possibly imagined that he would have such a rock steady, league leading season. I was hoping that with a good offense behind him he would go perhaps 15-12, but lo-and behold 21-4 with 2 more Wins in the LCS, that is one for the books.
Congratulations to the NY Knights for going the distance with the Shamrocks. I am sure that the Knights will be a force to contend with in the Mel Ott 2018 Season. Onward-Ho!

Thanks guys. Good times. Never faced two teams from the same city in one playoff before. That would be crazy if it happened in MLB haha. Hats off to both New Yorks and Milwaukee too. Great seasons all, and good luck to everyone in 2018!

Congratulations once again to the Chicago Shamrocks for their World series victory (again). Also congrats to all the other playoff teams. As far as the Ono trade, not too good for my first trade.....trading away a future NL Cy Young award winner. Feel like my beloved Baltimore Orioles trading Arrieta to the Chicago Cubs

Bluecrabz it was a good and reasonable trade. The one year outcome was not possibly foreseeable. If I was anywhere nearly smart enough to prognosticate that happening I would be putting that energy in the stock market or something like that.
