In a Franco Harris playoff game. Frigid conditions, both teams playing the field position battle. I'm up by three points. Then this happens in the 3rd Quarter on 4th and 5.
04:42. 0 3 WIN 4/5 NOR 35
4th and 5 for the Jets, they huddle and line up in a Shotgun; the Jedi line up in a 4-2-5 Nickel.
Dick Plunkett takes the snap and drops back into the pocket.
The corners and linebackers are blitzing!
Plunkett is under pressure.
Plunkett sees the blitz and looks for a hot read.
Plunkett can't find a hot read!
Dick Plunkett is sacked by Chewbacca for a 10 yard loss.
I see nothing in my advanced settings that has me going for it on 4th and 5 in the 3rd quarter. I use the Strategy Tester, and it says it would use the Green Zone Fourth and Medium. Huh?
Yet, earlier in the game, I had a 4th and a half yard and I punted when I clearly had an advanced setting (verified by the Strategy Tester) in place to go for it.

I don't want to get all jacked up about a SIM game, but at the same time, if I am employing (or not employing) strategy in certain game situations, I expect the SIM to behave based on my settings.
Bug or am I missing something?

I'm guessing that the FG probability is lower than your settings to attempt one because of the weather and if you check I'll bet that you have a setting to never punt inside the opponents 35 yard line.

Still doesn't explain why I didn't go for it on 4th and a half-yard, though. Does it?

On that 4th and 1 you were at their 41 yard line so your setting might have let you punt from there is my guess.Pages: 1
