Injury System: 1 H - All Dynasty and Trial Leagues use Injury System 2. Injury Systems 1 and 2 are harsher on batters than on pitchers. The difference between these two is that overworked pitchers are more susceptible to injury under Injury System 2, for the purpose of preventing blatant abuse by owners.
Mentoring System: 2 - System 2 is a slight modification of System 1 and uses a player value formula rather than overall rating as the component in the formula. Power and Offense in general is weighted more heavily in the player value component verses the total rating formula. For pitchers, Control is more important than Velocity in the player value component It also weighs leadership less than System 1 does.
Retirement System: 2 - This system takes the approach that as long as a team is willing to give a player some playing time, he will continue to play. Players will retire if they are 34 or older and meet one of the following criteria:
1. They have spent fewer than 120 games on an active roster the previous season, including time spent on the Disabled List.
2. They are on the waiver wire.
3. For batters, they have fewer than 125 plate appearances in the previous season.
4. For pitchers, they have fewer than 18 appearance (starting or in relief) and fewer than 25 innings pitched.
5. They reach the age of 50.
