on the fence with renewal

not sure If I want to go through the rebuild here. This is a notoriously high price trade league. draft classes being cacaw throughout the Sim I just don't know if it is really worth renewing.

Question: Did you think you had bought a team with good trade value when you purchased it less than 2 sim years ago? If so, you may need to post on the Advice board to get a better idea of the strength of a roster. The Milwaukee roster was at least 5 years away from contending even with excellent ownership.

A piece of advice, don't waste a top 5 pick on "at best a potential backup outfielder on a contending team". Missing out on [url=http://simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=11773474]the guy NYA took at #9[/url] set you back from day 1. An owner could build a franchise around that guy.
I don't mean to offend you, Michael, but I find it poor class to label a league as "a notoriously high price trade league". All this reads as is "Why won't the other owners trade me their more valuable trade chips for my less valuable trade chips?"

If you want to go to a league where you can make more trades try a Speed League. I'm in the Vizquel Spahn League and there is constant activity, but we get just as lousy of drafts as the rest of Sim. Not sure that would help you much. And there are some really experienced owners so you have to watch your wallet every time you complete a trade. At least in a 9 GPD League you don't have to wait long to find out how bad or good your trade was.
Anyway, Good Luck Michael, I hope you find what you're looking for!

I got to agree with Spicoli. Anyway I think it's all relevant no matter which league you go to if the draft classes are all bad. And if one league is tougher to trade in than another you have to pay a little higher to make it work for you. But it's not like some owners are trading with some owners and not others. You just have to work within the perimeters of that league.If you want to go to a league where you can make more trades try a Speed League.
