The coding of the game has its issues, we all try to be understanding of them, but there is no reason that the site more-or-less shutting down on the most important night of the season should be considered acceptable at all.
My annoyance is biased, but no less logical.
Lag right before the draft is a fixable issue. I just lost my only full draft for the next several years and it wasn't because of something I did, but because of server lag. Server lag.

There is no reason the draft section of the site should lock down and become totally inaccessible twenty minutes before the draft. This page was totally inaccessible to me, and I was not able to order my draft at all because I couldn't load the page. I'm pretty pissed, I just had to waiv four out of seven draft picks because they were total garbage and I know the admin won't do anything to rectify this. Knowing this before I even try to reach out to anyone makes me kind of pissed because this is not what I pay a subscription for, to have a problem like this and know before any u2u's are exchanged, it won't be addressed.The coding of the game has its issues, we all try to be understanding of them, but there is no reason that the site more-or-less shutting down on the most important night of the season should be considered acceptable at all.

All I'm saying is this is a text-based game. It's 2016 and lag is a major issue. Why? And if our subscription money isn't going to create new things for the game (when was the last update again?) why on Earth is it not being used to purchase competent servers that don't freak out because there are ten people online and it has to process a draft. I keep trying to make excuses for the makers and maintainers of this game, but every now and then something like this happens and I have enough background in computers to know how plainly unacceptable it is.[Edited on 3-26-2016 by luminafire]

Time and time again with this game I have to let things go or be accepting or understanding about stuff that doesn't work the way it should, but wtf I am a paying customer and I ought to be free to do what I please as long as it is before 11:00. Again, it's not as though the entire site lagged out or the forums the only inaccessible page was the draft page its self, the most important one.

As I said to geo, I've seen lag spikes once the actual draft began at 11 or maybe a few minutes before if two thirds of the league are online at once, but not 20/25 minutes before when there were only six visible users online. I want to put the blame on myself for waiting until half an hour before the draft to sort it but then I realized that's stupid, if the draft is advertised at 11, I should have until 11 to fix my draft.Time and time again with this game I have to let things go or be accepting or understanding about stuff that doesn't work the way it should, but wtf I am a paying customer and I ought to be free to do what I please as long as it is before 11:00. An lum I know you would have gotten better players in the 20 minutes you lost.
was anyone else locked out as much as lumina was before the draft.
I estimate I was +- 6 minutes not 20 however.

Like I said to lumina I agree with the lag issue. It's always about 10 minutes long to me. And I had the slow down apx 4-6 minutes before the draft and apx 1 minute after. (We all know about this however)The best thing to do guys is sort through the board earlier on (some of us jump in from End of week3). It is almost impossible to make the perfect draft work when we wait late . In particular with so many good drafters now.An lum I know you would have gotten better players in the 20 minutes you lost.

That's nothing. I was locked out three hours before the draft. I came back an hour after that and it was more or less working.

To hear there were issues three hours ago is ridiculous. For one thing, I was still playing until yesterday, I didn't have a ton of time to sit and rank the draft early even if I wanted to. I'm just disheartened because it's an issue every season and this season it cost me about five out of seven draft picks.
Why is this the only part of the game that causes this much of a lag spike? If there had been more people online at the time or if it was like 10:55-11:15, I'd understand, but this is crazy lag that struck unreasonably early when the sim wasn't processing anything. Are you telling me the coding is so clumsy that just having a lot of players simultaneously ranking a list breaks the server? A list though?
Because that's absurd. And unacceptable.

I mean, I know I'm in a hard spot to be complaining because I did wait until half an hour before to start ranking, but I always rank my drafts after the end of the season because I find it helps me not overthink my rankings and ranking too early can mess you up also since declared players still are growing up until the offseason.To hear there were issues three hours ago is ridiculous. The Haves have and the Have-nots continue to have not a chance. I mean, I had all the time in the world to rank my draft and what do I get. Garbage players at a position I don't need.[Edited on 3-26-2016 by Prideco]

Honestly, the way things are going(even on the baseball side) and the football side not getting any answer's from admin, I don't think this sim will be here in a year. Hope I'm wrong.

The football side screws up for me with lag on a regular basis, not just on draft nights.

both football and baseball have not been updated in a while. both have severe issues going on. baseball is late on games all the time. I had some trouble yesterday with the draft. I got it done thanks goodnees. last draft I could not do anything late. I have been very sick its been real hard to keep up. but I am trying the best I can. to be honest they may be understaffed I just don't know. you have some real misfits in baseball dynasty leagues causing a whole lot trouble.

I agree. I had to close my browser, and to top it all off, Windows decided to do a Windows 10 download a little bit after that and it took over 3 hours!Pages: 1
