getting players from the waiver wire

March 15, 2016 at 06:51PM View BBCode

if you are trying to get three players on the waiver wire, which one takes preference under your "current claims"? The one on top or the one on bottom?

the one you input first.

so how can that be changed if you want to make one of the three a priority?

You could unclaim everyone then select them by order of preference, or at least cancel the ones listed above your favorite then re-select them in order of preference (not sure if this last option works...seems logical, but you might have to experiment).

so the one on top gets first preference?

probably? I haven't had multiple waiver claims outstanding for a while so I couldn't say. if you put in more claims and they're being added at the bottom then logically I guess the one on top is taking precedence.

actually the new ones that I'm adding are being added on top. The most recent being the top one and pushing down the older ones down the list

so then i'd assume that the one on the bottom will be processed first.

It doesn't really matter which one is processed first. Waiver order does not reset in between claims. That is, the team with waiver priority #1 remains that way even if he claims 15 guys. It does not re-shuffle like that. So ... great question, but it is a moot point.

it matters if you choose the same player to demote in multiple claims on players that have Options. If they both clear waivers on the same day, I don't know how it would choose which claim to process. The second claim would probably be voided. There may not even be a way to prioritize them, which could be the reason ABE strongly suggests you choose at least 2 players to demote in case of a successful claim.
