I've had to post a few vacancies and would like to reach out to some of the guys who formerly owned teams to see if they'd like to return.

I was wondering if there was a method - easy or not - of finding former owners in a league.I've had to post a few vacancies and would like to reach out to some of the guys who formerly owned teams to see if they'd like to return.

for instance, if I open your owner card and click on "New York" in the BLL, it provides a complete owner history for that team, basically you and nydru18. if you did that for all the teams that had vacancies, you could see who used to own them. for that matter you could do it for all the teams in the league and theoretically find everyone who's ever owned a team there.

I guess you could scroll thru the league message board and look for posts from past owners.

That works really well for subscription leagues, but I'm not sure how you could check any teams that were replaced by expansion franchises in term leagues.I guess you could scroll thru the league message board and look for posts from past owners.

Yes, I've noticed that some team histories only go back as far as the creation of that franchise, which would indicate they must have been an expansion franchise, I suppose.The forum boards are a good option.

you could look at Standings from previous years. Doesn't go back all the way, at some point the owner space goes blank, but it goes back pretty far. Yount league is in 2192, and the standings show all the owners starting in 1982.

Clicking on the league name from your owner card will show you all the teams that have ever played in a league, including those that no longer exist due to expansion:
