There are far too many teams for sale right now, and the reason is no one wants to own a team that will take years and years to build through the draft.
Salary leagues allow owners the opportunity to turn things around in a season or two.
I would certainly own more teams if you offered more salary leagues.

I've just had an epiphany. I think all leagues (well just about all) should be salary.There are far too many teams for sale right now, and the reason is no one wants to own a team that will take years and years to build through the draft.
Salary leagues allow owners the opportunity to turn things around in a season or two.
I would certainly own more teams if you offered more salary leagues.

The end result is a market flooded with product that not enough people want to use. The Bots/Merged Leagues were designed to eliminate this issue, but they have been met with stiff resistance from the community and Admin has backed off, not wishing to lose an even larger chunk of users.
Disclaimer: this is all 100% pure conjecture on my part.
Adding salary leagues will not solve the problem, it will make a small percentage of users willing to forget the larger issue(s).
If the site could crash two leagues for every new salary league it opens ... you might be on to something.

I suspect that's an oversimplification. The number of vacancies is the direct result of an aging business model disenfranchising the user base coupled with more realistic alternatives and an understanding that the true currency of our age is time, not money.The end result is a market flooded with product that not enough people want to use.
