Goodbye, New England

December 22, 2015 at 06:31PM View BBCode

After a succession of unsuccessful seasons in New England, the ownership group has decided to sell the team outright. After an extensive bidding process, the new (very wealthy) and sole owner has uprooted the team and moved them to his home state of Minnesota to brand new and state of the art Great Sun Stadium.

Long-suffering fans of the team who remember the winning days in Pittsburgh continue to cling to hope that a new owner and change of scenery will result in a successful season for the newly-named Thunderbirds.

And you had to take the one team it hurts to win against did you not. HELLO SOTA.

Babe and his Chinook will continue to do everything in their power to keep you out of the playoffs at least until Babe retires and hands over the reigns. =)

The new Minnesotans will be doing everything in their power to survive Babe until he retires, then promptly forget he ever existed!

LOL! =) Don Furst is going to end up being the potential stop gap under center when Babe does hang up his cleats. Furst is starting to grow into his a danger all his own now too =)

Brian Cassidy, albeit only 23, has been decidedly far less than a beast. Maybe this season will be the start of him being good enough to make the playoffs? Otherwise, he's going to the bench as soon as I find a more competent starter!

Very solid QB with EXE to work. Also developing well with all those conversions. And add those 2 young receivers and a good o-line I can see many smiling faces in Minnesota this year (with good play calling). Now Montreal fans are counting on you to convince Babe it's time to rest his old bones in the dry desert sun of Arizona. PLEEEEEEEEEZ..

If Cassidy can cut down on these INT. Game against Toledo was ridiculous...play calling tweaks are in order perhaps, those pass lengths always get me.
