Recent LAN and CIN trade

I am struggling to see how that trade was fair. It's essentially a late first for two very good pitchers.[Edited on 11-22-2015 by CrazedCougars]

A second from LAN isn't really worth much either but two firsts would be too much. If the draft is deep the trade values CIN in the long term, LAN in the short term and that is really what trading is about when one is contending and the other is rebuilding.
He wasn't going to get two 1st's and no one that has a good enough 2nd would be in the market to give it for Choate and I think that is just about the only other way CIN could have got the most value.
Just MHO...

I don't know... one of the P is OS 34 and the other is a huge split guy, the only reason he has more value is because the split is control heavy.A second from LAN isn't really worth much either but two firsts would be too much.
