Ok guys, it's the time of the season for make it or go home games. Here is a comprehensive power rankings for each division and conference and the prediction for the playoff seeding.
ACW:
Nashville is all but beyond hope for the post season at this point. With 2 games left against Montreal and Brooklyn, both vying for a playoff berth, and the leading candidate of the NC for the bye week... tough schedule, I would start thinking about the draft.
Montreal is still in the hunt, but barely. With a loss already to Brooklyn and one more match to go, that is a must win game for them and they need Brooklyn to lose a couple to secure their spot in the post season. A loss today against LAA won't kill their chances, but it sure won't help them either.
Brooklyn had a nasty string of losses after a 5-0 start that put them squarely at 5-5. With a couple more wins on their schedule, they are back in the hunt for the playoffs, but a loss to LAA's new ownership has put them in second for the division. Hope is there as they only have one tough team left, Montreal
LA Raiders have new ownership and I am not sure he has lost a game since joining the league. An incredible performance for a new coach to the league, his team is tough, and the defense is tougher. a 2-3 start to the season on auto-pilot the team has gone 7-0 since the bye and don't show any signs of slowing down.
ACE:
Anaheim is done for the season. No hope of making the playoffs this season but there is hope for the first overall pick.
Miami is on the bubble. They can still win out the season and have a shot to keep playing, but the door is quickly closing on them with a fairly tough schedule yet to play.
NE has an easy road to the end of the season. They have beat Miami and Anaheim once already this season, and have the rematches coming up. Either could cause the upset and keep this team out of the playoffs.
Charlotte has all but secured their playoff berth. The defending champs are hoping that LAA takes a few losses to end their season and that this team can win out to earn the bye week, they are in good position to win the division with a weak schedule to end the year.
NCW:
Toledo's dreams of a postseason are long since dissipated. They are hoping to get the top pick in the draft this season now.
San Francisco might as well right off the season as a loss. The game against their division leader today is on the verge of a blowout and their next two games are against the division leaders of the AC... tough break
Arizona is in a battle to secure the wildcard seed right now. Two games left against Dallas, the best team by all the stats this season don't look good for them. They play LV as well, the team they have to beat out for that WC seed.
Dallas has the bye week, hands down. Top scoring offense in the league. Top scoring defense in the league. No chance of anyone catching them to take the bye away, time to start thinking about playing the backups and saving the starters from potential injuries.
NCE:
Shreveport is out of the playoffs, and they are all but out of the first round pick hunt. They will get a top 3 pick which should help, but they will need some coaching help to compete in the tough NC
Florida is hoping for a 8-8 season at this point. They are out of the playoff hunt but would like to at least break even. With a couple of tough teams left on their schedule, they will be hard pressed to make it.
Las Vegas is in the hunt for the WC, and with a game today against Dallas, if they take the loss, it should be the last loss of the season for them. 10-6 should be good enough to lock in the WC though.
Detroit is hanging on to the division lead by a thread right now. Behind at the half to their competition, they need to have a big second half and finish out the season strong. One of the weaker schedules left to play they should be able to win out after today.
Playoff Prediction:
AC
Bye - LAA Raiders
Division Champs - LAA Raiders and Charlotte Chanook
WC - Montreal
NC
Bye - Dallas Cowboys
Division Champs - Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Doom
WC - Las Vegas Hookers
