There are some instances in life that can be easily explained but there are those few moments that you just have to look and say wow and today one of those moments happened. A QB that has never connected on a throw past 40 yards, a team that has the most horrendous defense I've ever seen, both combined to pull out a defying upset win over a very good Pittsburgh team. With four seconds let Porter had the combination of a loud croud and a doubtful coach in his ear "Porter the game is basically over so just throw it out of bounds and lets walk out with some dignity" he was told by his Offensive coordinator right before the final play, but for once in his career Porter proved his worth, Porter proved that he deserves every dollar of his salary, he threw an absolute prayer to Earl Reihner and somehow it connected and Earl took care of the rest and silence loomed in Pitt stadium. This win means little to this squad but it was probably the greatest ending of porters short career.
