The Wilbur Wood League has eight days left it its current season. They need at least three and maybe five owners; we need two; Fredbirds is in both leagues. If they need five, the math works out to 24 owners ready to go right away.
I respect all of your opinions; I get that many of us would like to keep this league, now 50 seasons old, going. That would actually be my preference. But I don't think that's possible right now.
So, I would advise us to merge with WWL and become a subscription league.
The previous anonymous poll showed six "yes," two "don't care," and one clear "no." Now, we really need to know: if we were to pursue a merger with the WWL, are you in or out? Please reply "in" or "out" on this thread so we know where we stand.

We've been on hold since the end of our last session, and no one has contacted me for league info. There is a long, long list of teams available in all leagues. I have no problem with the merger in general or the change in payment method, but I'd be disappointed to lose, for example, variable development. What's the scoop on potential changes in league rules?

Morty, they have virtually the same rules set as we do, including Var Dev, the only difference that will have to be worked out is the mentor system, and that should be an easy fix either way...

It also might be a good idea for the commishes to pull off the market the teams in both leagues for sale. What if one sells, that will complicate things and make us wait even longer while it all gets sorted out...

So, that's 13. Pierzynski is checking with the WWL owners. I'll keep you all posted here. In the meantime, I've removed the expansion teams from the list.

so, it looks like me, Beanballs, Minions, mrspikey, fredbirds, kswetnam, intheories, Mclovin, vinnydvinny, Greyfan, cptcigar1970, MortonsFork, are all definitely in. I think Bucos saying "Moot" means he's in as well, but if I'm wrong Bucos, please let me know.So, that's 13. Pierzynski is checking with the WWL owners. I'll keep you all posted here. The vote over in the WWL is similar to here, I think they just want to get going as well. Honestly, if anyone isnt happy with the merger, they can make the choice when they renew again, but it seems like solid leagues are having a hard time surviving even a small exodus of owners. I feel bad for the faster speed leagues, they are having a harder time than we are.

I would prefer if we didn't lose all our history, but I'm in. Will be still have access to the old player data somewhere?

They keep the old league up on your my teams page so you can look at stats. We have had the commish add stats together for HOF purposes.
