I think I've got a pretty good grasp how to handly my pitching - I usually go for 4 quality starters and filler starter (often a mentor), 2 quality relievers. I am somewhat patient and I value endurance, so that these 7 guys pitch 95% of my innings. Also, I build my teams with a lot of speed and I like to steal bases, my teams often are among the league leaders with more than 200 SB a season (and a success ratio of 66%-75%).
Having said that, I haven't really got a good idea on how the other settings affect the game, and I hardly ever change my settings. I've read that players like to tweak settings in the playoffs to match an opponent - how do they go about it? Which settings other than the pitching ones do significantly affect the game?
