Hit Streaks

It would be cool to add hit streaks to the stats. Just had a guy go for 27 straight games, then got yanked in his last at bat bc my settings wanted to get a younger player at bats in a blowout game...Lame

i dunno why anyone uses that younger player thing. if you have any young players you're really trying to develop they shouldn't be on the bench anyway.

totally agree hitting streaks should be tracked, i threw it on the idea scale, yikes, 5 years ago. it's at +87, which means it's 87 steps closer to going nowhere.

The younger player some at bats is just a nice way of saying let the scrubs have an at bat in a blowout game.

sure, but why bother. scrubs aren't going to develop anyway, no one gets 'rusty' sitting on the bench and the players you remove have the same likelihood of injury they would if they stayed in. so there's really no gain to be had.

Tracking hit streaks would be pretty cool, IMO. It would be fun to see if anyone could even remotely approach Joltin' Joe's record.

When I'm competing but still developing young players, I will usually bench the young guys and put in my best players when I'm playing the other top teams. In the case of a blowout, it's at least a little useful to get those young players in (although blowouts don't really happen much against those teams).
