The NFL has pretty consistently averaged around 13 penalties per game for quite awhile, I checked the past 6 seasons and there wasn't much variance. We are currently running around 8 penalties per game and here are the past 5 years:
2063 - 8.14
2062 - 8.06
2061 - 8.40
2060 - 8.62
2059 - 8.36
This is a very big discrepancy.

So I was looking at ZFL boxscores and I noticed that in week one my team's game had 1 penalty in it, and I thought that was odd so I did some checking and we are really, really low in the penalty department.The NFL has pretty consistently averaged around 13 penalties per game for quite awhile, I checked the past 6 seasons and there wasn't much variance. My penalty numbers are fairly accurate for the penalties that we simulate, but there are still many penalties we don't simulate which is why overall numbers are low.Chris
