Hackey Sack Squad

Last year, my coach was on my back saying that his offense needed a massive rework. the team just wasn't able to put points on the board to compete with the high powered offenses in the league. Well, i seriously considered firing him for starting off my new career as owner with complaints and gripes, but decided i would look and see what i could do. I have always liked younger teams as they tend to be able to keep up a good pace in a game so i focused on stacking up for the draft, giving up a couple drafts in the process.

By the start of the season, my coach was salivating over the talent that i had picked up for him on the offensive side of the ball. It was a hot seat year for the coach since looking at the history of the franchise things were not looking very promising.

The season finished and i evaluated everything and it turns out that with all the weapons i provided the coach the team scored 70 pts more than the year before. A number that is far from inspirational, and allowed 17 more pts against opponents than the year before.

There are a couple stats that have convinced me to give the coach one more year to prove himself. I focused on the defense this offseason and provided a front line that promises to wreak havoc to opposing QBs and the coach did improve from 1-5 in division games to 3-3 in division games (4-8 conference to 6-6 conference) and a total of 8-8 for the season, up from 5-11 and the best record since the 1967 season.

The coach was extremely excited about the improvements and the upward track that the team has taken, however, i am still not convinced that he is the coach that is going to take this young talent full roster to the playoffs and win a championship title for me. So i made a few phone calls, and thought i would make some changes.

The coach got fired, i don't even remember his name he was that unimpressive, and i hired former franchise QB Parker Belton to run my team. being as he was a QB i thought it would be prudent to add some defensive knowledge so I also brought in Pellom Duckworth, former DE and future hall of famer in mind mind, to be the defensive coordinator.

This year promises improvement across the board and a tough team to play in a tough division and conference. best of luck to my new coaches

If he fails he will make a great supper for my imaginary pet Saltie Croc. And his rib bones will be wonderful chew toys for my real pet Gray the squirrel.

Oh tonight I will post the coach of the year along with a short tidbit for each.. There are 4 finalists and 1 will be undemocratically selected. Sleep time.....
