Please note that the schedule for this league is configured to run two preseason games per day. When the regular season hits, the game speed drops to one game per day.Chris

Click on 'league info' under the owner tab and then click on 'schedule' that pops up beside it. You will find the rules there too.1st quarter - 8:30 a.m., 2nd quarter - 11:30 a.m., 3rd quarter - 2:30 p.m., 4th quarter - 5:30 p.m., OT - 8:30 p.m.

Initial draft you bid for positions you want to draft first. The bids will lock and the highest bid at each position will draft 1st then next most 2nd then so on. Once bids are locked and revealed will will have another day or 2 to rank players knowing what pick we have.

When, initial actual "real time" drafting time/date, season start, etc....I'll look again... Obviously missed that post!

Don't the draft bids lock late this afternoon? Better get your bids set. I think the draft takes place the next day, but I could be wrong.

I sure hope not. I haven't even looked at the draft yet. Yesterday we were stalled with what looked like plenty of time to work with the draft. This morning we find out we're all set to go.
A couple days would be nice Admin. I'm at work. If this is going off this afternoon you'll have to put my team up for sale.

I sure hope not. I haven't even looked at the draft yet. Yesterday we were stalled with what looked like plenty of time to work with the draft. This morning we find out we're all set to go.

That's what I said, but doesn't that mean the draft bids lock later today? Or is it the bids lock and then a few hours later the draft runs on the same day.

Well, we've been waiting I for a pretty long time know. I think the last owner joined about 5 days ago, so I don't know why everyone wouldn't be ready to go.

It's standard procedure for the draft to run the day after the league fills and we've had a few weeks already to rank the players.

that and it is just an initial draft... just putting numbers into positions, there arent actual players to put together a board for this one... took me all of 5 minutes

Yep, if you click on the position name above the bid it will take you to the players and you can rank them.

This whole thing was a huge surprise today. This was supposed to be a 32 team league and it was only 75% filled. There was no urgency to spending time looking at players.
So today without any warning or discussion it's been decided that it's now a 24 team league and the go button is being hit tomorrow. Don't you think the guys paying to play should have had some input on cutting the league short now or waiting longer? Don't you think some fair warning would have been appropriate?
I can't do this properly by 6:00pm tomorrow. I work a 10 hour day and I'm not spending the rest of the night ranking draftees in 24 postitions and then ranking those positions. If it can't be done right it's not worth doing.
We'll let the chips fall where they may with the draft. Aftewards please put the team up for sale, I won't be managing it. I hate to sound like a jerk, but this was not done properly at all.

gator, i'm sorry, but you've had plenty of time to get this done. i'd be sorry to lose a quality owner over it, but in this situation I don't really see that two days is insufficient notice. I sincerely hope you reconsider, but i'm perfectly ok with how this was handled.

Like dirt I hate to see you leave over it. I wouldn't be upset if we decided to add a couple extra days (I do need to make some adjustments now that we only have 2/3rd the teams.) but at the same time we've all already paid for the first several seasons and I'd like to see this get going.

If at any point in time the league was filled you would have had the exact same amount of notice. If it is the switch from 32 to 24 teams that would be a very valid objection, but with all the time we've had I don't see why anyone would be rushed unless they chose to procrastinate.Like dirt I hate to see you leave over it. I'm trying to get 2 days so it will run Thursday. I'll keep everyone posted as to an answer. In the mean time, everyone do your best to rank the players just in case we roll with it tomorrow.

Procrastinate? On Sunday what was the deadline to get the rankings done? Yes correct, there wasn't one.
On Sunday how many spots were filled in a 32 team league. Yes correct again, only 24.
On Sunday what were the chances of 8 more teams signing up in the next week or too? Yes, the answer would be pretty darn low.
So don't bust my chops here with bs. Some of you guys have all kinds of time to spend with the game, that's cool. How about a little consideration for those of us that don't, a little willingness to cooperate. What we get instead is...well we're ready to go, so too bad if you're not, go ahead and quit.
Bad enough what we signed up for, and payed for, was changed without any warning or discussion. That doesn't sit well with me either. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate by those who made the decision.
Far too much take it or leave attitude going on with this endeavor for my liking. I'm going to choose to leave it. I see I'm not the only one. This change really wasn't very well planned.

you seem to be viewing this as us and admin forcing you to adhere to our schedule, but what you're trying to do is make the rest of us adhere to yours. there's nothing personal in it for us, and I'm sorry if the conversion to a 24 team league caught you by surprise but I'm quite happy that decision was made because I'd like to get started. I don't think that my desire to start is any more or less important than your wish to delay, but I do think that the larger part of the league wants to get going and that I do think should be the more important aspect to a timing decision. now, if I'm wrong and the majority of the league wants to wait until sometime next week, then by all means.

gator, as I said earlier, I hope you decide to stay. you've got another two days, minimum, to rank your draft. the point we were making is simply this: you've been signed up for this league for a considerable period of time and could have started the ranking process at any point during that time. you didn't do that, and that's certainly your prerogative. but why should the rest of the league now have to wait for several more days because you didn't? the last owner just got the password today. so the earliest the draft will run is, in my understanding, Thursday. if he doesn't sign up until later tonight it might even be Friday. if that's not enough time, how much do you need?no one is saying "we're ready to go, so too bad if you're not, go ahead and quit". what we're saying is, "we hope you don't quit but why should 23 guys who have been waiting for up to three weeks already be forced to wait longer on one guy who didn't use the time he's already had?"
