its not easy and it shouldn't be. i don't know why you want it for ss, but, at any rate, you're doing it wrong. first take it to 2b. if it doesn't convert all the way, it will make fewer errors while it finishes converting in the majors. and if it does make it all the way to 2b, the conversion is quicker to ss in the majors from second, and, again, fewer errors. it looks more like a rightfielder to me, but, to each his own.

I wouldn't bother with him. As Tim says, he's an OFer for life.

Always convert (fully) to 2B from the OF, before trying to convert to SS or 3B.

I agree, he is probably best used in the OF. His range will hurt a bunch at SS.

Thanks for the input, prolly do the OF thing. Still I would think a third sacker wouldn't have such issues converting to SS.

To answer your question: No I don't think that converting from 3B to SS would be that difficult in real life, the player in question started the conversion at 19 and made only a 20% conversion in what would essentially have been a full minor league season, and now has stopped completely. This would not happen in real life, on the other hand nobody in real life would attempt to convert a player with that skill set to SS so maybe it's just as well.

He'll be a reasonable 3B if you leave him there or stick him in the corner OF.
