...do the Bots actually have an advantage in the playoffs because they are *never* offline? They can monitor each individual game closely whereas many owners simply don't have the time, or a job gets in the way, or - heaven forfend - a family, etc.

Just curious - the Bots obviously have their own, umm, let's call it "quirky" preferences when it comes to putting together a roster and making decisions on who to train and whom to claim off the wires, but I'm wondering.......do the Bots actually have an advantage in the playoffs because they are *never* offline? They can monitor each individual game closely whereas many owners simply don't have the time, or a job gets in the way, or - heaven forfend - a family, etc.

Assuming that is true (and taking out everything else), I would guess the bot is at least on even playing field with an owner that checks their lineup once a day and sets their backups, and at a disadvantage against a micro-manager...

Mark, if I remember correctly, the bot updates roster/lineups/minors only once a day (around 10-11pm), I think that is what happens in the 2TL.Assuming that is true (and taking out everything else), I would guess the bot is at least on even playing field with an owner that checks their lineup once a day and sets their backups, and at a disadvantage against a micro-manager...

Thanks, John! Has to be at least mildly humiliating, I would think, to be beaten by a Bot in the playoffs with a lineup that was "geared toward player development."Pages: 1
