Tagging up and trying to score

How does ABE determine if a runner is going to try and score from 3rd on a fly out to the OF ? Is it based on stretching or on chicken bones ?
I only ask because in a recent game in the 10th inning with a runner on 3rd and nobody out my B speed runner got thrown out at the plate on a flyball to LF with my #4 & #5 hitters coming up, I lost the game in 13 innings. Stretching doesn't take speed or OF arm into account, which seems counter intuitive to me anyway so I'm wondering how I could have avoided this situation.
As a side note, there were runners on 1st & 3rd yet when the throw went to the plate my runner on 1st didn't advance, but I'm guessing ABE just can't figure that one out.

pretty sure that one's on big Abe, tagging is totally out of our hands.

Then ABE's a horrible manager, who in the world sends a B speed runner when the next two batters each have an OPS north of .900 and the opposing pitcher has an ERA above 5.00.
Stupid ABE

But you do raise an interesting point. *Is* this situation controlled by the Manager Preferences? If not, perhaps it should be.
And/or perhaps Admin could look at the code that makes that decision, and tweak it. At the very least.
