Now i don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but I notice that when I have a pitcher who is on many days (more than 4 or 5) of rest or has been sent down to the minors for a lengthy period of time that they pitch better, is this just coincidence or is it that pitchers pitch better on a long period of rest?February 22, 2003 at 10:48PM View BBCode
I can't say I've studied the issue scientifically, but I think it's just a coincidence. I haven't noticed any consistently poor performance when a pitcher is running on fumes, either.February 22, 2003 at 10:52PM View BBCode
If that is the case, then it is a bug. I didn't design it to be that way. Pitching on 3 days rest will cause a decrease in ability, but Abe only starts a pitcher in on 3 days rest in an emergency.Pages: 1
