At the same time, screw you ABE. I seriously thought about tanking at the end of the season to try and finish in second vs first. In 6 of the last 8 seasons we've won the AL regular season title and failed to make the World Series. The only year in that time we made the fall Classic was when we finished second. I'm not trying to take anything away from Boston, but after 226 regular season Catch wins and just 1 playoff win the last two seasons, I am pretty frustrated and wonder if ABE's desire for postseason upsets is too great.
Good luck to Boston and Philly in the World Series.
