First year in, the AC has four teams tied for the second wildcard at 11-5, three of them with the same conference record. Oh, and stu is 5-11. La plus ca change...

Betas AFC East needs to be realigned. The teams had wins of 10, 11, 12, 13. Never seen a division so competitive.
Congrats Casper, Rich, neboguy & Myself

I don't know why everyone worries about the divisions in Beta/Zeta. Youre gonna have to get through the best teams to win no matter what you do so if you cant get through your division (or score a WC) how good are you? Its tough when you have to play a top player 3 times for sure, but I´d much rather have a bunch of competitive games then 12-16 walkovers where I learn nothing just to get to an SB. Better to lose to a good, participating player than bury rudderless teams.

Shbo is .666 in SB´s. I am .644, Casp .611, Lance .600. Jack has struggled in Zeta SB´s but you want to play guy in an SB? Those are good %´s and I think its because we´ve been beating on each other for so long that we´ve learned to adapt. I know I'm a better player because of having to play them so much, I bet they would say the same.

As for Beta P, I hadn't been paying much attention because no one else seemed to be playing either, but our division now, with Fulla, Casp, Neboguy, is very interesting. Obviously my 11-5 just wasn't quite good enough, I´ll have to try figure something else out. ;)

I cant figure out why people are so worried about the divisons balance. This is only a test league. I guess its good that people care though so they pay more attention to their teams. I'll be honest and say i do no more than just maintain my roster and set draft settings. RUn the exact same offense against every team. Defense too. I do change those on a yearly basis to test things out but that's it. 32 seasons in made the playoffs 22 times and 5 sim bowls so obviously you don't have to do a lot more than that to be competitive in these leagues. It'll be interesting to see how it works out though.

Does anyone know how the realignment works? Is it by teams with similar records in the past getting thrown together or is it a mix of good and bad teams being put into a division or is it completely random?

neither. it's based on geography and 'real' nfl division affiliation. so AFE wants to put dallas, Washington, philly and nyn in the NCE, for instance. but if there are teams in all four of those areas plus, say new jersey, Newark, Toronto, hamilton and montreal in the same league, dallas may end up in the south division because of there isn't room for all of those teams in the east .
