Congrats to the teams who already have a spot secured. In the NL Pittsburgh clinched the pennant today; Milwaukee the wilcard. Good luck MillerTime - this should be a close-fought battle with all your big sticks and late-season acquisitions, and my solid pitching and handful of big hitters.July 09, 2004 at 02:25PM View BBCode
AL Wildcard is a done deal now. KC's 3 straight losses were against Boston, so there's your ALCS preview :DJuly 10, 2004 at 12:11AM View BBCode
Here we go, MillerTime. Good luck to you tomorrow. We'll see if all those late season veteran acquisitions pay off for you. Frankly, I'm a little concerned about how my bats will do against your much improved staff. And good luck to Boston and Kansas City as well. I think anybody who meets Boston is going to need some luck...July 10, 2004 at 01:49AM View BBCode
KC is just showing up for the fun of it...Boston's hammered the Zephyrs all season :cool2:July 10, 2004 at 02:44AM View BBCode
Good luck to each of you but I have to root for Pit or Mil to win it all.July 10, 2004 at 02:30PM View BBCode
Good luck Pittsburgh. Thanks for the kind words. I knew I had to do something in order to compete with that pitching staff. I have a short window with being able to compete for a championship and I figured that I have to act now. In about three years I don't know where this team will be, but I will have to worry about that then. The series is tied at one, and that is all that I wanted. It is down to a five game series now. Good Luck again.July 10, 2004 at 04:03PM View BBCode
I think I'll be with you in a few years trying to pick up the pieces of a team decimated by old age. The Lynx have a fair cadre of young pitchers, but few are true starters. We have little depth in the youth area, and my best bats are all salty veterans with but a couple seasons left. Let's make the best of it, I guess.Pages: 1
