*15 Games per day
*Catcher rule - there is none
*System 3 minors

Possible League Merger

Gauging interest on a possible merger with the Hal Chase League. Let's get a count on how many would be interested.Here are the proposed rules, * means a change of rules from what you currently use:

Well it looks like a few guys in the OVL aren't a fan of numbers. So this may be dead, I'll keep an eye out for other leagues that may be a better fit for the JSL.Tyson

The JSL is the only league that uses minor league system 5 with numbers. Changing one of those opens up the number of potential merge partners.
On the other hand, you may find that you'd rather stay with the league rules you prefer and just live with the bots.

If we can't find a league to merge with soon, we might as well just fold this league. We can't continue without a merger.

And, Tyson, I don't think anyone balked at moving to minor league system 3 with the OVL merger, so don't really think that is an issue. We just need a merger with someone with numbers.

If minor league system is flexible, here are leagues that use Numbers that could be merger candidates (I haven't looked to see if these leagues have any special rules)
Hal Chase - 15 GPD, system 3
Manny Ramirez - 15 GPD, System 3
Frank Thomas - 9 GPD, System 6
Tommy John - 9 GPD, System 6, Injury System 3
Johnny Logan - 18 GPD, System 6, Injury System 4
Nomar Garciaparra - 15 GPD, System 3, Injury System 3
Of these 6 leagues, the Hal Chase has 2 Bots. Tommy John and Johnny Logan have 1 Bot each.
The Hal Chase league has a team for sale right now. If that team doesn't sell and becomes a bot, I would allow a merger.
What do people think? They do play 15 GPD, so a bit faster than you and it would be $7.50 per month rather than $7.

Well we don't fold leagues anymore. As long as people want to stick around with the bots, we'll let the league run. I am game for anything but letter display. Numbers make me feel good. The only way I leave is if we go to a letters merger (and im ok with being out-voted if thats what our league decides to do)

Im in for a Hal Chase merger if easiest........otherwise, given that leagues dont fold anymore, I AINT QUITTIN. yay.I am game for anything but letter display. Numbers make me feel good. I am in the Hal Chase League but I would vote for merger despite losing one team. If there is support for merger I don't want to be a reason it doesn't happen. I can always buy another team.

Boston is IN for a merger with any league, regardless of their rules.
