Droogs on a roll, might even finish at .500

That business trip to san Diego really kicked my butt, but the rag tag Droogs have fought back, winning 14 of their last 17 (thanks to the sleeping bats of Taylor Lamont, "Killer" Kirsh and Mike Smith finally waking up) and are only 3 games under .500.

We've had come from behind victories in our last two games. The guys coming off my bench seem to be getting the job done as well.

Witha little pitching next season, the Droogs might even...gasp...contend.... (unless old age kicks my butt next year or ht ebats stay slow to kick off the season like they did this year)

Unfortuntately, 6 of my last 9 games are against The Gnomes and the Knights, which I haven't had much luck against this season.

Holy crap
talk about small goals ;-)
we finally hit .500 on the 156th game of the season with two come from behind victories against the Senators.

But, the final 6 games are against the Gnomes and the Knights, thus making it to the end of th season at .500 a struggle, espceially considering the bullpen woes of late (and all season) and the fact the bats have saved the bullpen's collective arses (how long can that continue?).

Last season the Droogs finished at 82-80, will be interesting to see if this season's team can match that.

I think both the Gnomes and the Knights have pulled in their horns and are looking over their respective farm clubs at present.

Yeah, if I had a playoff spot in the bag I would bench my starters to avoid a late season injury. I'd also rest my pitchers to set up the playoff rotation. You have a good chance to finish strong. Good luck.:D

I did learn one valuable lesson this season: don't let ABE pick your starters (I'm buying a laptop so I can update properly on any more extended busines trips)
