5th overall pick in the [url=http://simdynasty.com/draftpref.jsp?year=2124]2124 draft[/url].
Was drafted as OS 19 at approx B/C A-/B with C speed. Started at second base but was converted to 1B/3B in the minors. C health limited him to 139 games per year so his counting numbers aren't that impressive.
Spent 4 years in the minors (2124-2127) before being called up before the start of the 2128 season at OS 23. Rookie year he was approx A+/B A+/A- with B speed. He played 139 games, all at first base. He hit .294/.378/.446/.824 with 14 HRs and tied for the team lead with 30 doubles (with [url=http://simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=10402327]Frank Vinton[/url]). His 30 doubles also tied him for 11th most in the league. His numbers were good enough to win the [url=http://simdynasty.com/allstars.jsp?year=2128&submit=View]NL Rookie of the Year[/url], and was one of the few bright spots on a Warriors team that went 70-92. In his sophomore campaign, Kelleher upped his average to .294 but his OBP/SLG/OPS all dipped slightly below the numbers he put up his rookie year. He hit 16 HR and had more RBI and runs scored but his doubles dropped to just 18. His first 2 seasons he was visibly uncomfortable playing first base, combining for a -22 at the position. The Warriors other top young prospect [url=http://simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=10600210&statsorimps=stats]Dave Cooper[/url] had won Rookie of the Year himself in 2129 (more on him later) , and had played out of position in the outfield, in deference to Kelleher. However, management had seen enough and after 2 games of the 2130 season moved Cooper to first and Kelleher to right field. The move seemed to help not only Kelleher's defense but his bat as well. The 2130 season was his breakout campaign, where he proved to be well worth the top 5 draft pick. He hit a career high and league leading .357, which was the third best batting average in a single season in franchise history. His OBP of .433 also led the league and was the best OBP in franchise history in a single season. He raised his HRs for the third year in a row, hitting 19. He also set new career highs in ABs, runs (89), hits (191-8th in league), doubles (32-14th), triples (5), RBI (90), BB (73-10th), SLG (.542-13th), and OPS (.975-5th).
