After 12 years of playoff baseball the Browns have had their worst start in 13 years. There was some speculation that the medicare eligible clan were simply too old to make another run and that is looking like the case indeed. Presley Peck who is a future Hall of Famer had a rough off season with some surgeries and just general tiredness. Starting the season 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA isn't typical for Presley, but old age may be finally taking its course. Couple of all of this with the NL teams getting better and you have a recipe for a mediocre season. The season is young and the Browns are still a very good team, but this could very well be the end of the road. I would look for the Browns to sell off and rebuild. Something they haven't had to do in a very long time, but all good things come to an end and this very well may be the end. I think it would be in the Browns best interest to shop around for some younger players or future picks to get this well oiled organization back into form in the future. The Browns fans have had a fairy tale run for the past 12 years and really for the whole entire history of the league, but even the smart Brown's fans are calling for a sell off before it's too late. Contending teams be alert as this may be your chance to grab some very good veterans.November 26, 2013 at 12:55AM View BBCode

Don't get me wrong it's good enough to make the playoffs, but it's not good enough to win a championship. As soon as I notice that it's just a playoff team then I usually tear the team apart. As of right now no one wants the players so I am forced to keep going. I guess I will just be a thorn in the side for awhile.November 26, 2013 at 06:05PM View BBCode
