Hello,
My name is Dick Wilson. I purchased the Cincinnati team. I didn't realize I was purchasing the World Champs. I stepped into some big shoes.
I really purchase the team because the Cincinnati Reds have always been my favorite team. As a child, I lived near Cincy and watch Frank Robinson, Big Klu, and Guy Bell play ball. Then as an adult I watched the Big Red Machine. So anyway, I seen Cincinnati was available, and I purchased it.
Just wanted to introduce myself, and I am looking forward to a fun season. Good luck to all!

Welcome Dick...my favorite team is the Reds as well. I was 6 years old when the Orioles beat us in the World Series and I cryed and cryed and cryed. So as you can see I have been a lifelong fan as well.

Welcome to the league, and you really did score a great team! FRobby might be the most under-rated HOFER of all time. Gus Bell was a quality act. I'm a Dodger fan, but I used to be a big fan of Jim Maloney, who (with the exception of Sam McDowell) was the closest thing to Koufax in terms of overpowering stuff.
So, now that we've dispensed with the niceties; how do I get you to trade Ben Griffey to me for a second round pick? :-)

Welcome to the league ! We have more than a few hardcore baseball fans here, myself included. I am a life-long Phillies fan. The first game I ever attended was between the Phillies and Cubs. Fergie Jenkins locked up with Jim Bunning in a tight game. I'll never forget it. Oh yeah..............the Phillies lost 3-1.
Not that you'll need it but good luck this season.

Wow, Bunning vs. Jenkins at your first game ever. Mine was Drysdale vs. Spahn. Anyone else have a HOFer matchup at your first game?

Welcome to the league Dick!
I grew up a Red Sox fan and went to my first game in 1975. Jim Palmer vs. Luis Tiant (not a HOFer but still pretty good). Rico Petrocelli and Carlton Fisk hit solo shots as the Sox won 2-0. Later that season I was exposed to that powerhouse that was the Big Red Machine and since then they have been one of my favorite non-Sox teams. Great players up and down the lineup and extremely well-managed.
Best of luck to all in the new season!

WOW, I love it, great long time baseball fans. This is going to be a fun league.
Thanks for all the responses. By the way, my first game was Cincinnati Red Legs against the St. Louis Cards. I watched my hero BIG Klu play first base and jack a home run. I also watch one of my favorite players play too. Stan (the man) Musial.
I also watch Joe Nuxshall pitch that day too. Fun Fun and yes I worn my Reds baseball cap and had my baseball glove with me. My grandpa would not let me go to the dugout and say hi to big Klu. I didn't understand why! Dick
